FROM THEN, TO NOW
• Was born at 3:37 p.m on January 2nd. She was born prematurely (was due February 15th) and was born via emergency c-section.
• For the first five, almost six years of her life, she lived with her maternal grandmother Rose and step-grandfather Raymond due to her mother Brenda having black outs and medical conditions. When Rose came down sick however, Dallas moved back with her parents Brenda and Larry.
• When Dallas was seven years old, her grandmother Rose - her middle name sake - passed away in February (1993) Six months later in August, her grandfather Raymond passed away suddenly from two massive heart attacks. Dallas had seen her grandfather's dead body in his home, which really warped her from such a young age. She almost didn't go to the funeral because she was terrified.
• That same year, her parents split up and ultimately - Dallas ended up in foster care to end 1993. She was returned home in 1994, however, as her parents reconciled and proved they could handle having her back.
• From the age of eight until she was fifteen, she was extremely suicidal. She cut her wrists, and other parts of her body, just because she felt she could handle physical pain more than emotional pain. She had a really rough time with her parents from that. She physically and verbally fought with her mother, verbally fought with her father, just a very messed up childhood which all spawned from her grandparents' deaths and it was just her acting out.
• At fifteen years old, Dallas was hospitalized in a children's mental institution for attempting suicide. From the time she was really young right up until that point, she didn't think her parents cared for her. But her mother signing her in to that mental institution to get her help sort of was the starting point of their good relationship. It was a drastic measure that really taught Dallas that her parents loved her enough to do that so she wouldn't harm herself.
• Dallas dropped out of school in 10th grade just before she turned 16. She manipulated the system, convinced her parents to let her quit because she hated the school she attended, and they went along with the plan of saying Dallas moved out of state to live with friends in North Carolina to get away from the schooling system. She never got caught.
• She started doing correspondence classes to finish her high school education but eventually quit because she wasn't being challenged and didn't see the point.
• From that point until she was eighteen, she had a great relationship with her parents. But just when things were going well for them, her father Larry was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Larry lost his life and the battle with that cancer on January 25th, 2004 at the age of 51. Dallas had just turned 18.
• Her biggest fear after her father's death was losing her mother. She spent, literally, every waking minute with her mother after her dad died. They worked together, they lived together, everything. Dallas developed a really bad issue with paranoia whenever she was away from her mother, thinking something bad had happened to her. It was really quite dramatic.
• June of 2004, Dallas's mother Brenda went through angioplasty surgery to fix clogged arteries in her heart. After that, Dallas's paranoia got worse, and she spent the majority of her time thinking something terrible was going to happen to her mother. She developed an extreme anxiety issue during this time as well.
• January 1st, 2005 Dallas's worst nightmare came into fruition when her mother died suddenly from a severe heart attack. Dallas literally watched her mother die, a day before her 19th birthday. That was a downward spiral for her. Before her mother's death, though, her mother asked extended family members to keep an eye on Dallas in the event something ever happened to her. After her mother's death, Brenda Martin and Roger Garrow, two close members of her family, became like parental figures to her. To this day, she refers to them as her mom and dad because of the bond and respect in their relationship.
• In 2005, Dallas met someone who would eventually become her best friend. A girl named Piper Dangerfield. They didn't have constant contact because Dallas lost the ability to get online and went through a very dark part of her life, but she ended up finding her way back to Piper and have been the best of friends ever since.
• Before Dallas's biological mother died, she had started doing GED classes through a program in Plattsburgh to further adult education. In 2006, early, before things went truly downhill for her, all of her hard worked actually paid off and she graduated with her GED diploma. That was the greatest moment for her since she had promised her biological parents she'd finish school. She kept that promise, too.
• During her 'dark period', so to speak, Dallas got really heavily into drugs and drinking. She almost died twice because of the bad habits herself. Both in 2006 at the age of 20. She almost died from alcohol poisoning in August of that year, and then on Thanksgiving almost died from a severe drug overdose on street morphine. After that close of an encounter with death, it was a sort of wake up call for her to snap the fuck out of her habits. Dallas stopped doing street drugs outside of the occasional marijuana use cold turkey, without rehabilitation. She realized during that time she had stopped living and just wanted to die since she felt empty without her biological parents. But she soon learned to cope with it, and believes strongly in the term 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'.
• Eventually Dallas moved back in with her adopted parents Brenda and Roger, and her Uncle Carl (Brenda's twin brother) which got her back on track in a big way. She managed to fulfill a life long dream of attending multiple wrestling shows with her family as well as attending with her best friend Piper. It wasn't long after SHOOT! Radio was born.
• SHOOT! Radio started as a ranting banter wrestling show online to cure boredom, but eventually became a great success for the girls. It really made both Piper and Dallas want to pursue wrestling further and they moved to Pasadena, California to do just that.
• While in Pasadena, Piper and Dallas met Joey Ryan, an acclaimed indy wrestler, who really helped the girls along with their start in the indies. They managed to get proper training, as well as their foot in the door at PWG out in California.
• Originally Dallas was sort of a 'ring girl', if you will, but like Piper her hard work and determination paid off and she began wrestling, earning her merit, and worked in a number of indy promotions to better her craft.
• Following suit with her best friend, Dallas showed an interest in going to Ring of Honor, which with the right connections and determination to succeed, she's awaiting her call up for Ring of Honor. She refuses to work for big name companies due to how poorly they treat their superstars, despite being a fan of the WWE on most occasions.
Random Factoids
• Doesn't mind being an only child. She was incredibly spoiled growing up.
• Is French, Irish and Native American ethnic wise.
• Is a huge fan of all types of music. She was in a rock/screamo band when she was younger and was a HUGE band/chorus dork in middle/high school therefore she'll truly listen to anything. She's a hardcore fan girl over folks like Tyler Reckson and Waking Midnight, but she's a huge fan of bands like Primal Scream, Deth's Requiem, Damien Deth, lots of 80s hair bands, just all over the place. She loves loves LOVES music. Her favorite bands/musicians of all time though, are The Beatles, The Doors, Aerosmith, Kiss and Billy Idol. Just what she was raised on mostly.
• Will often sing anywhere and doesn't give a god damn what you think about it.
• When her favorite drummer, Aiden Dubois, died, she cried for days. Literally. She still occasionally cries when Waking Midnight comes on her mp3 player but she's learning to deal.
• Has a cat named Luna, whom she loves more than life and treats like her child.
• Was in therapy for literally, years, learning to control her bi-polar and emotion disorders. She also has extensive bouts with insomnia. She refuses to take medication for any of these issues, however.
• Cannot fucking stand Twilight or anything involved with it. Absolutely hates it.
• Is a huge fan of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Yes, call her a nerd if you feel like it, but she won't particularly give a damn what you think.
• ESPECIALLY mouthy, outspoken and opinionated. Very much so. She learned to speak your mind and stand behind your decisions with your head high, or someone else will make the decisions for you. The majority of her attitude came from her real mother, especially her temper. She has an extremely bad temper, has been known to be violent if the moment calls for it, and will snap on a person if they push her. It's happened before. Her fuse is incredibly short, especially if she's going through insomnia issues.
• Loves Halloween and loves dressing up. She often makes her own costumes, drowns herself with prop blood, and takes incredibly gory photos for Halloween because it's something that makes her happy. Truly happy. Simple things amuse her.
• Horror movies are the way to her heart. Her favorites being Halloween, Nightmare On Elm Street, and Bram Stoker's Dracula. Anything with legit vampires she loves. She's also a huge Wes Craven/Tim Burton mark. She loves Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and is ANXIOUSLY anticipating going to see Alice In Wonderland. She has a date with her mom for that, too.
• Big time momma's girl when it comes to her adopted mom Brenda. She absolutely loves doing things with her and will often do things with her extensively because of how much fun she has with her.
• Loves guitar hero and rock band, and spends hours playing it with Piper whenever possible.
• Her favorite drinks include Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, Jagermeister, Heineken beer, Jameson, sunkist, and vitamin water.
• Doesn't smoke or do drugs. However, she will occasionally drink. Not often, at all, but has been known to have a few heinekens or a bottle of jager. She's a hilarious drunk, Piper's seen it first hand.
• Has NEVER been lucky in love. She's had boyfriends, girlfriends, and just cannot seem to catch a break with someone loyal and respectful. It's been the bane of her existence to the point she just stopped trying. She's been single for well over a year and doesn't even think about it. She's really skeptical when it comes to relationships too, patience is a huge need when trying to get her to open up in that mannerism.
